shoutout to the nug for giving me iron tendons. plateaued in finger strength super hard earlier this year after months of weighted hangs. read some studies on how to increase finger strength and decided to go with the nug, now im climbing harder and grabbing things like a hawk. if i could go back in time i wouldve got the isometric plate too, i certainly left gains on the table.
Just what I needed for a fast, lightweight solution to warmp up or test my mvc or train repeaters.
I really have found this to a great portable tool and I use it all over my house as a take-a-break exercise tool. High qulaity and rugged. Big fan!

I have one of the older versions of the nug and it’s my go to when I’m climbing outside. It has just the right sized crimps for me and a 25mm I use a lot. I really like the size of it and that’s why I why I use it every time. it has less holds to choose from than the portaboard, but for me I only need a couple good ones so having a small warm up tool is perfect!
I ordered the nug because its small, perfect for when I travel, looks sharp, and love the simple wood and black combo! The bad news: The block of wood my nug was cut out of was basically dark green rather than the light beige wood color in all the photos. I know wood has grain, but this was green. You can especially see in the contrast of the light and green wood in the photos. I guess it'll get covered up in chalk and won't matter so much, but if I was working on the production floor, I would think it would be obvious to exclude those from getting packaged and sent out. No one should sell a product thinking 'its going to get dirty anyways' lol, not that that's what the thinking was. The good news!: I love that the there's friction between the rope and the hole drilled into block of wood so that I can set the angle I want to pull at and it pretty much stays there and doesn't become a sloper if I don't want it to. It's just as small and sweet as I imagined it to be. The carabiner and sling were great quality, too. Off I go to train! Thanks Frictitious and Steven!

High quality and well thought out from the Nug to the strap.
Simple. Straightforward. Small enough to take anywhere. Comfortable enough that skin wear and edge shape are no concern. Really happy I went with this. Disappointing to find out after purchase that it supports Steven Dimmett and his weird political views. I wish Frictitious would make a similar product without him.

The NUG just might be my new favorite crag warm-up block. Super light, takes up the least amount of space of all my warm-up blocks/boards, and has all the edges you might need before a decent day on the wall. Probably the best thing to bring up for an alpine day.

Much smaller than the tension block but has all the edges needed to warm up. It’s what I should have bought the first time.
I use this with force gauge and I am really loving the portable hang board. All the edges are pretty comfy and they suit a particular function. I’m even able to do some mono training because the board is so well balanced. Pulling on the force gauge is very comfortable on the 20 mil and on the 13 mil. Product is really light and takes up a little space in my bouldering bag for going to the boulders, and weighs very little. I think this is the best hang board to use with a Tindeq
I think my package was lost. I ordered it on December 16th, and it hasn’t arrived yet. The UPS tracking site says it’s delayed but cannot give me an estimate for delivery
I bought a few pieces over the last couple months, but this is the one I find myself using every day!
The Nug works great. The compact nature of the lifting edge makes it super convenient for taking to the crag or gym, and it's functionally the same as larger-template edges for finger training. Works well as a narrow pinch grip too, and after getting shutdown by that move on a route during a recent climbing trip, you can bet I'll be working that grip with the Nug too. Giving it 4/5 stars because for the cost I would have expected the finish to be a little better. However, this does not affect usage. I opted to get the carabiner and sling, both of which are rated for climbing so they function as backup gear. I love that this allows me to support Steve's podcast (The Nugget) and Fricticious – both have contributed greatly to the climbing community! Ours came in a light pine color. My partner and I plan to use a wood burner to brand a decorative design into it for personalization. All in all, I'd highly recommend the Nug and any Fricticious gear.
