Frictitious Hangboard Manual

Mounting Instructions:

  • All Frictitious Hangboards include six screws, sized specifically for mounting to ¾-inch boards


  • To install, begin fastening the screws at the top of the hangboard and work your way down.

⚠️ Do not to over-tighten the screws. Tighten them until they’re fully “sunk” into the countersinks of the screw holes and tight, but do not continue tightening as you could damage the board.

Care and Maintenance:

  • Use chalk! Our poplar wood has a smooth grain that’s gentle on your skin, yet offers excellent grip, especially when paired with a bit of chalk.

  • After each session, brush the holds to prevent chalk buildup.

  • If buildup does occur, lightly sand the edges to restore the natural feel and grippiness of the wood.
