Assembly

Step 1:

Slide the back bracket onto the black steel bar. You will need to tilt the back bracket forward to insert the steel bar.

Step 2

Separate screw cap and barrel, place rubber end cap on, insert barrel and screw into hole in end cap, thread them together with your fingers first, then hand tighten with the Allen wrenches.

Step 3:

Slide the hangboard onto the bracket fully.

⚠️Warning: The hangboard is not locked into the bracket. Support the hangboard with your thumb when putting up/taking down (see Tips & Tricks video at top of page).

Back plate orientation

Pro 5 Board

The back plate will have side 1 up.

Pro 7 Board

The back plate will have side 2 up.

Doorway Installation

Step 1:

Fully loosen the thumb knob, counterclockwise.

Twist counterclockwise until you feel slight resistance and stop. This will prevent the backplate from spinning while you install.

Step 2:

Position the hangboard and back plate on the frame of the door.

If the front trim of the door frame is not at the same height as the back trim, position the hangboard on the higher side.

Slide the rear arm forward until the back plate is flush against the wall.

Step 3:

A small gap is OK between the back plate and the top of the trim.

Verify the orientation is correct for your hangboard every time.

⚠️TIGHTEN THE THUMB KNOB PROPERLY EVERYTIME⚠️

  • Tighten knob clockwise until very tight to ensure the hangboard and rear support are clamped firmly in place.

  • The Hangboard should NOT budge at all.

  • If you load the hangboard such that it starts to move, shift, or tilt - even slightly - you MUST tighten the thumb knob down more.

  • DO NOT be afraid to crank it down, the tighter the thumb knob, the stronger and safer the Hangboard.

  • The 300lbs total load rating and independency of the top trim is only achieved by adequately tightening the thumb knob.

Warnings

Important!

Always tighten the thumb knob by twisting CLOCKWISE. Twisting the thumb knob too far COUNTERCLOCKWISE will DAMAGE THE UNIT. Stop loosening once it is fully backed out, or when you feel any resistance.

Do's and Don'ts

Do position the hangboard level on top of the door frame.

Do ensure the clamp is fastened firmly in place before use.

Do tighten the thumb knob as tight as needed for the loads being place on the hangboard - the hangboard should not move even a millimeter.

Do lightly weight the board every time before training to test that it is adequately tightened down.

Do not use excessive side-to-side movements when using the hangboard.

Do not exceed the maximum load of 136kg / 300lbs.

Do not use on weak, damaged, hollow, and/or non-structural doorways.

Always take care when using the hangboard - use responsibly.
